I'm in a stupid fuckin' Applied Statistics class and I need ideas for this project I have to do.

Anyway, the deal is I'm supposed to conduct some sort of data sampling. I need to pick a question with a quantitative answer (like numbers that can be averaged). The population can be whatever I want it to be, as long as I get a sample of at least 30 individuals. Also, the sample has to have two subgroups to compare (like men and women or something).

Anyway, I need ideas. The only idea I came up with on my own would take WAY too much work (seeing how many times the word "Iraq" is used in Newsweek and it's corresponding US News and World Report for so many weeks).

Anyway, yeah, HALP.

I had the exact same project and I made up 100% of the data so I'd get the results I want and I got an A. Just do something that interests you and fake it all.

I was thinking something like that, but I said fuck it.

I just wrote down "Price spent on text books this semester" and had the two categories be "purchased at the campus bookstore" and "purchased from other places (internet or friends or whatever)".

The idea has probably been done to death, but I feel like shit today, and that's all I'm doing.

Do the amount of people who own or have owned a Pokemon video game. Kiss the people who do on the lips and the ones that don't hit you will be in Column B.

Then for extra credit you can record the ones who give a phone number or grope you in Column C.

You'll get an A+ imo. Your professor may also decide to just pass you for turning them on too.
How about a "how likely are you give me your room # and combo for some surprise sex? 1-10" and make the two different groups be Ugly and Not As Ugly As The People Who Are Actually Ugly Enough To Fill In Ugly.
